Adobe InDesign, your trusted partner for creating top-quality layouts for print documents can now help you deliver all sorts of immersive digital reading experiences. Learn how to new time-saving features in InDesign will help you create layouts more quickly, and then understand the many different types of digital documents you can create and publish for viewing on desktops, tablets, and e-reading devices.

  • Learn how to create innovative digital magazines, newspapers, annual reports, manuals, and other documents that incorporate eye-catching elements Incorporate 360° rotation and panoramas. Add an interactive layer to your design by using new Folio Producer tools in InDesign CS5.5 and integration with Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. These interactive documents can be played back on a range of tablet devices such as Apple iPad, RIM BlackBerry PlayBook and a wide variety of Android tablets including the Motorola Xoom.
  • As eBook reading devices grow ever more sophisticated, InDesign lets designers keep pace. Learn how to create visually rich experiences for eBook reader applications and browsers that support HTML5 video and audio tags and learn how to take advantage of advanced capabilities in devices such as the Apple iPad, Sony Reader, and Barnes & Noble nook.
  • InDesign CS5.5 includes support for FLV video and MP3 audio files, as well as dozens of motion presets that make it easy to create animations. Export a document or presentation from InDesign to SWF format for playback in Adobe Flash® Player or a web browser. Or export a document as an interactive PDF file, complete with video and sound. Five panels introduced in InDesign CS5 provide intuitive controls that enable you to create a wealth of dazzling effects.
  • And as an added bonus we’ll also show you some tips and techniques for speeding up tedious and repetitive layout tasks or just making document layout and production much more efficient than ever before.

Brian  Wood is a seasoned  web developer and web/print technology trainer. An  Adobe Certified  Instructor in Acrobat 9 Pro, Illustrator CS5,  Dreamweaver CS5, Brian has authored  several training books,  including "InDesign CS2 Hands-On-Training,"  "Illustrator CS5 Classroom  in a Book", and others, all published by  Peachpit Press. He has also  authored online training videos for  Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Expression Web and more.

Brian  provides corporate  training to companies nationwide, and is an active  developer. He co-owns  AskBrianWood.com, BeginnersWebDesign.com,  BrianWoodTraining.com, and has a  training video blog,  BrianWoodTips.com

Attendance and Ticket Information: 

The Adobe Workshop will continue monthly and delve deep into your favorite and most used Adobe applications. These workshops are meant to deliver useful and applicable information that will help you develop your skills. 

The workshops are FREE for AIGA members, however, we do require a $5 seat reservation to be paid in advance. The reservation amount will be reimbursed in full upon arriving at the workshop..

Non-Members may attend the workshops for $40 per.
